Privacy
Your data, in plain words

Who is responsible
This site and The Top K newsletter are run by Sebastian Buzdugan. For anything about your data, email sebuzdugan@gmail.com.
The newsletter
When you subscribe, I collect your email address and where you signed up (this site, the beehiiv page, a link from a post, or a sign-up form inside an ad). I use it to send The Top K once a week and the welcome email with the free cheat sheet. Nothing else.
The list is stored by beehiiv, which sends the emails and records whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. I use those numbers to see which issues are useful.
If you sign up through a lead form inside an ad on Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, TikTok or YouTube, that platform collects your details under its own privacy policy and passes your email to me, and I add it to the beehiiv list.
After you subscribe, beehiiv may suggest other newsletters. You are only added to one if you tick it yourself.
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
The creators form
If you fill in the form on /creators, your handle, email, the answers you give (reach, platforms, topics, rates, brands, what's hard for you and what you'd pay for) and the page or link that sent you are saved to a Notion database, with a backup copy in Microsoft Azure storage.
I use them to contact you about collaborations and newsletter swaps, and, without your name, to decide which creator tools to build.
If you email me, the conversation stays in my Gmail so I can reply and follow up.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without following you across other sites.
The beehiiv sign-up form sets a cookie on this site to remember that you already subscribed, so it doesn't ask again. The sign-up popup remembers for the current browser tab that you closed it.
There are no advertising cookies or pixels on this site. If that changes, this page will say so first.
Who processes your data
beehiiv (newsletter), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Notion and Microsoft Azure (creators form), Google (email), and, only if you sign up through one of their ads, Meta, X, Reddit, TikTok or Google. Some of them store data in the United States.
I don't sell your data and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long it's kept
Newsletter addresses are kept while you're subscribed. Creator form answers and emails are kept while we might still work together. Ask and I'll delete any of it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how it's used, by emailing me. I'll answer within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK and not happy with the answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.
